Rui DeFreitas founded the Portofino group of restaurants over 10 years ago in Knutsford, Cheshire. The group now encompasses three restaurants in Altrincham; Mayo, Republic of Ireland and Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent.
All the Portofino restaurants offer wholesome traditional Italian cuisine, utilising fresh ingredients and cooked to order, creating genuinely excellent fare. Served in an enjoyable, relaxed atmosphere with efficient friendly service and offering real value.
We offer an a-la-carte menu as well as lunch specials and pre-theatre menus. You can be assured that a night with us will be a night you won't forget. We can also cater for parties large or small; whatever the occasion, we know you will enjoy yourselves at any of our restaurants.
